High Voltage Commissioning Engineer

Role and Responsibilities
• Located at the onshore substation and CCR facilities site in Brooklyn, NY
• Oversee and coordinate contractors during commissioning preparation, execution, and handover to Operations, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations and electrical switching rules.
• Monitor site status and maintain the completions system for Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, Performance Testing, and Handover, updating drawings and documents as needed.
• Develop and update commissioning procedures relevant to the project’s scope, while supporting interfacing commissioning activities across various disciplines.
• Attend weekly meetings to discuss planning, status updates, safety protocols, and contribute to progress reporting of commissioning activities.
• Manage Commissioning Queries (CQ) and participate in Mechanical Completion verification to achieve Ready for Commissioning status, facilitating the transition of commissioning packages from Construction to Commissioning.
• Address punch list items in the field, ensuring documentation and clearance processes are completed efficiently.
• Review contractors’ commissioning plans, procedures, and competencies to ensure effective and safe commissioning phases.
• Identify and procure necessary commissioning spare parts and equipment and attend relevant Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) at the onshore facility.
Qualification Requirements
• Relevant experience in large project commissioning execution and handover to Operations
• Experience operating as an Electrical Senior Authorised Person preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from development projects.
