Overview

STV is seeking a motivated Estimator to join our PM/CM group. This position will be based in our New York City office or in Princeton, New Jersey. The role will support a wide range of projects across the NYC metropolitan area.

• Collaborate with technical, professional, and managerial staff—as well as designers, consultants, and contractors—to coordinate and prepare comprehensive cost estimates.

• Develop and/or oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates across all phases of design and construction.

• Supervise quantity takeoffs and cost evaluations based on design documents, drawings, specifications, and change orders.

• Review cost estimates prepared by third-party consultants and provide recommendations on their suitability for SCA (School Construction Authority) implementation.

• Participate in cost-related negotiations and project discussions.

• Assign, monitor, and review estimating tasks and deliverables.

• Perform additional related duties as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Services, or a related field from an accredited institution; equivalent experience or training in construction management may be considered.

• At least 5 years of full-time technical experience in the construction industry.

• A minimum of 5 years specifically in estimating within one or more of the following disciplines: architectural, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems

Compensation Range: $74,112.66 - $98,816.88
