Two Technical Inspectors (Plumbing) – Afternoon Shift Only (12pm – 8pm)

• Interpret complex plans and specifications; confers with Engineers, Architects and Project Officers.
• Assist & advise Project Management, Expediters, applicants, contractor/sub-contractors and Construction Managers.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports that are transmitted to the Project Officers.
• Maintain computerized records of files & reports on the progress of projects (i.e., CIP and line).
• Inspect field construction sites/facilities to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards and make checks of work in progress.
• Make periodic visits to projects and make final inspection of completed work.
• Maintain updated information on all relevant codes, specifications, State and local laws, etc.
• Review regulatory documents required for the closeout process. Assist Plan Examiners/Engineers to achieve signoffs.
• Occasionally attend training in inspection techniques relating to acceptability of materials, methods, and work performed.
• Review laboratory tests to ensure that materials meet specifications; perform inspections.
• Perform related duties.

• NYC Master Plumber’s License.
• Eight years of relevant building construction experience, four years must have been working in plumbing.

• Salary Range: $81,878 – $138,598, dependent upon experience.
