Overview
Arcadis is looking for an Entry Level Energy/Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Energy Group in the Northeast United States. The role supports clean‑energy projects throughout the U.S., focusing on HVAC, electrification, decarbonization, commissioning, renewable generation, and other energy‑related solutions.
Responsibilities- Support project execution and delivery of HVAC and plumbing designs identified through energy audits.
- Review building and energy codes, perform load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and HVAC system evaluation.
- Assist in commissioning and construction management of energy efficiency projects to ensure systems meet owner requirements and building codes.
- Gather, analyze, and visualize energy use data; complete energy efficiency, distributed generation, and alternative energy calculations.
- Perform engineering analyses, modeling, and calculations for feasibility studies, energy audits, sustainability plans, and detailed designs.
- Coordinate field activities associated with clean energy projects, including energy audits, lighting inventories, implementation oversight, and measurement and verification.
- Communicate with task managers, project managers, project teams, and clients.
- 0‑2 years of prior work or internship experience in consulting engineering or related MEP or clean energy sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Energy Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a robust work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit is advantageous.
- Willingness to participate in office work, field assignments, and travel.
