Overview
This position will implement appropriate technical services to ensure that client and project management needs are met. It includes performing field and office tasks as well as providing project management support for a petroleum remediation project, including operation of dual-pump liquid extraction recovery wells, two groundwater treatment systems, and a soil vapor extraction system in Brooklyn, NY.
Responsibilities- Field coordination and management: set up work plans and protocols, supervise and/or implement field activities, and coordinate additional field personnel as needed to implement technically sound project plans.
- Collaborate with Systems Operations Manager, Senior Engineers, and applicable vendors/subcontractors to troubleshoot and optimize treatment systems.
- Technical data review and report preparation: coordinate collection and review of project data, adjust data collection protocols as needed, interpret data, develop and finalize reports documenting findings and remediation recommendations to satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Project management: monitor and review task schedules and budgets in compliance with company standards and client requirements to complete project work.
- Staff mentoring and training: participate in the development of junior staff and collaborate with senior management to grow as a consultant and leader of the firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years in the environmental consulting industry with demonstrated progression in groundwater treatment systems and task management.
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting groundwater treatment systems, coordinating tasks, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and managing field implementation of common remedial technologies designed by Senior/Principal level professionals, and supporting remedial design work.
- Demonstrated task/project management skills.
- Intermediate data evaluation and analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with common technical protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with control systems and system instrumentation; PLC/SCADA programming and troubleshooting is beneficial.
This position works in both the field and in an office environment at a dedicated facility in northern Brooklyn, NY. Field activities may include outdoors in industrial/commercial settings, treatment plants, recovery wells, and construction sites. Responsibilities include sample collection, recording operational parameters, and coordinating with an existing team of environmental technicians. The role requires the ability to drive to project sites and to move around outdoors in varying terrains and weather conditions, with occasional extended or irregular hours.
Office work is primarily computer-based with repetitive handheld movements.

Base Salary Range: $78,000 - $88,000. This range reflects Roux’s good faith belief at posting time and geographic location; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, certifications, and internal equity. The position is eligible for performance bonuses based on individual performance and firm profitability.
