We are seeking a hands-on Head of Engineering to lead our technology strategy and execution. This role is ideal for a senior engineering leader with a proven track record of building secure, scalable systems in high-growth or startup environments.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will define our long-term engineering vision, guide architectural decisions, and mentor a growing team. You will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver enterprise-grade, data-driven solutions for the evolving open finance landscape.

• Leadership & Strategy

• Set and drive the long-term technical vision and engineering roadmap

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team

• Foster a collaborative, innovative engineering culture aligned with company values

• Technical Oversight

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution for all technical initiatives

• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, including code quality, security, performance, and scalability

• Guide technology stack decisions and evaluate emerging technologies for business impact

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure alignment and delivery

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to executive and non-technical stakeholders

• Operational Excellence

• Oversee project timelines, delivery milestones, and engineering resource allocation

• Implement and uphold rigorous QA, testing, and deployment stan Manage engineering budgets, tools, and infrastructure investments

• Talent & Team Building

• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent

• Build an inclusive and results-oriented engineering culture

• Mentor engineers at all levels and lead by example

• 10 years of software engineering experience, with 5 years in engineering leadership roles
• Proven success scaling engineering teams and systems in startup or high-growth environments
• Expertise in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and data systems
• Familiarity with modern SDLC practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code review, Agile methodologies
• Experience with compliance, data privacy, or fintech regulations is a strong plus
• Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and communication skills
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• This role is hybrid/in-office and requires regular presence at our NYC headquarters
• Collaborate in-person with teams at our New York City office to drive initiatives
