Scope of Job

Power Flex, an EDF Renewables company, is a leading national provider of intelligent onsite energy solutions that support carbon‑free electrification and transportation. Through the comprehensive Power Flex X platform, Power Flex leverages patented smart software to control, monitor, and optimize a client's distributed energy resources to reduce cost and maximize return on investment.

• Design and engineer commercial and small utility‑scale solar PV projects.
• Communicate with utilities on an ongoing basis.
• Stay up‑to‑date on code and policy changes that impact system design.
• Coordinate cadence with customer during design phase and construction phase.
• Coordinate design package with engineering firms.
• Coordinate with vendors and lead procurement of materials.
• Perform inspections during the installation process.
• Oversee commissioning process.
• Assist in close‑out of projects with utility.
• Perform production analysis for PV systems.
• Assist Business Development team with pre‑contract due diligence.

This role would support our projects in California and would require a hybrid role out of one of our offices:
Mountain View, CA;
San Diego, CA; or Los Angeles, CA.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred) or related major.
• 2–3 years of experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Detail‑oriented and strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in Helioscope, AutoCAD, PVSyst, and Excel.
• Understands permitting & interconnection process.
• Basic understanding of financial modeling and incentive programs.
• Experience with Procore and Salesforce a plus.
• Computer skills preferred:
  Salesforce, Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project knowledge, CRM, and Smartsheet.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and deliver quality results on time while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Plan and organize tasks to consistently produce results, with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills.

The pay range for this position is $88,560 – $108,240 annually. This position is eligible for Power Flex's comprehensive health and welfare plans, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). Power Flex's compensation packages carefully consider a candidate's qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.

Remaining in a seated position; long hours on the computer keyboard; prolonged periods of standing and/or walking; must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds regularly/occasionally.

95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.
