Your new role as an AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) will see you deliver quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard, while ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to. This role will see you working with a range of specialist teams enabling you to provide excellent engineering standards on a solid foundation of safety, quality, reliability, and service.
Reportingto the Line Maintenance Manager, some of the key responsibilities of this role are:
- Carry out maintenance on company aircraft
- Ensure timely and correct completion of all work carried out
- Quality Control for aircraft presentation - upon completion of maintenance and prior to release
- Delivering quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard Ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Comply with Jetstar’s Safety Management System
- Required to work at other ports (including international locations) as required
- Comply with all Jetstar training and compliance requirements
- Build and maintain a good working relationship with contractors and outside service providers
- Has completed Certificate IV in Aeroskills (AU or NZ equivalent), with previous A320/321 experience desirable
- Has excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Has experience in Line Maintenance
- Has a proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
- Has proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders; and
- Holds a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence
- Willing and able to hold a Qantas Group-issued ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) including a full international criminal clearance
- Willing and able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Medical test prior to commencement
