Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Provide engineering and technical support on mass timber design projects, including concept design, inspection and installation, evaluation, repair, and rehabilitation of projects with durability issues.
- Design specific elements and advise on project key scope items, including structural engineering, durability, constructability, and vibration performance.
- Carry out structural calculations, including software simulation of complex structural behavior.
- Conduct measurement and post-processing of structural vibration.
- Lead retrofit design scope and structural analysis for evaluation, repair, and rehabilitation of existing reinforced concrete buildings.
- Execute vibration testing and analysis.
- Design vibration mitigation systems, including structural modifications and supplemental damping solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance on the buckling and stability of slender steel structures.
- Requires Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience.
