Staff Electrical EngineerFi is looking for a Staff Electrical Engineer. You will lead the end-to-end electronics design for Fi products, from proof-of-concept to mass production, and drive innovation to power Fi’s hardware-powered solutions.
Responsibilities- Lead the design:
Own the end-to-end electronics design for Fi products, from proof-of-concept to mass production - Innovate and optimize:
Contribute to system architecture, schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability - Collaborate:
Work with leadership, firmware, mechanical, and overseas engineering teams to drive board bring-up, validation, and safety testing - Power optimization:
Optimize system architecture and power management for ultra-low-power performance - Scale production:
Work with overseas CM/JDM partners to drive efficient design, testing, and manufacturing processes
- Experience:
8+ years in high-volume consumer electronics design - Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field - Expertise in circuit design:
Low-power systems, Li-ion battery-powered devices, RF (Wi-Fi, LTE, GNSS), sensing technologies, and digital buses - Antenna design experience: a major plus
- Technical skills:
Schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium preferred); lab skills with DMMs, scopes, analyzers; ability to solder SMD components to 0201 - Collaborative mindset:
Strong communication across technical and non-technical teams in multiple countries - Firmware understanding:
Familiarity with firmware concepts; experience with C or Python for embedded systems testing - Track record:
Leading electronics design lifecycle from prototype to mass production - Flexibility:
Willingness to travel to China as needed - Animal lover:
Passion for animals is a plus

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000–$225,000. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including skills, experience, market conditions, and role scope. This role is eligible for equity compensation.
