In the role of Geotechnical Designer/EIT, we'll count on you to:

  • Assist in planning and conducting geotechnical investigations and site assessments
  • Perform field tasks including drilling oversight and construction observations, with most work focused in the NY/NJ area.
  • Occasional travel outside NY/NJ may be expected to help assist project demands in other areas
  • Assist in performing geotechnical calculations and analysis for small- and large-scale projects
  • Assist in preparation of geotechnical reports, calculation packages, drawings and specifications
  • Have some familiarly with geotechnical software including LPILE, ALPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, Geo Studio, Settle3, and Deep Ex
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and be willing to learn and take on new tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or Geotechnical Engineering; master's degree with Geotechnical emphasis preferred.
  • 3 years of work experience.
  • EIT certification, or current registration for FE exam. Candidates hired without their EIT will be title "Geotechnical Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to go to the field as needed; and
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
    Familiarity with Geo Studio, ESoft APILE, LPILE, GROUP, and Settle3 preferred.
  • Local candidates preferred
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience with MS Office and software applications
