Where is the work:
Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires. Trane NY / Vermont is hiring a Turnkey /Comprehensive Solutions Project Manager based out of our Albany or Syracuse office location. In this role, you will manage all aspects of a multi-million-dollar construction project portfolio, from beginning to end, with direct responsibility for project execution in a given time frame and with available resources.

Responsible for the administration, implementation and management of assigned construction projects. This role leads cross-functional teams through all phases of project delivery, with a focus on energy savings, operational efficiency, budget control, schedule performance, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Projects may include HVAC upgrades, central plant improvements, building automation systems, lighting retrofits, controls integration, electrification initiatives, decarbonization efforts, renewable energy support systems, and other facility modernization scopes.

The ideal candidate combines strong construction leadership with experience managing technically complex projects in occupied facilities, institutional environments, commercial buildings, healthcare, education, industrial sites, or government settings. This person must be able to manage multiple stakeholders, drive execution, mitigate risk, and deliver projects that meet both financial and performance objectives. Project Scope & Portfolio will have a mixture of trade work Multiple technologies, vendors and subcontractors.

High degree of customer interface. Contracts may contain penalty clauses, risk, liabilities, and or liquidated damages. Trane will often be a Prime Contractor and leading multiple subcontractors. Projects may include general construction systems and technologies that are outside of Trane’s normal core competency. Require supervision of lower tier Project Superintendents.

Scheduling, Budgets, Buyout, Subcontractors, Permits, Safety Plan, Risk Assessments, Quality Plan, Communication Plan, Progress Reports, Meeting Minutes, Schedule of Values, Leading Owner Meetings, Leading Internal Meetings, Financial Forecasting, Testing/Commissioning, Punch-list, Turnover, and Close-out. Mechanical HVAC systems knowledge – owner direct design build/estimator/developer duties. Construction management duties. Lead owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, progress reviews, and internal coordination meetings. Develop and maintain master project schedules, milestone plans, look-aheads, and recovery plans as needed.

Monitor budgets, forecasts, cost trends, contingency usage, cash flow, and change management to protect project financial performance. Manages risks on projects to assure completion on time and on budget. Selects and manages multiple…
