Job Description Who you are First-line manager of Specialty Engineering is responsible for Diagnostics development and System Safety on RMA/Owego programs. Candidate must be familiar with Systems Engineering Principles and Practices. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required to create a positive environment for motivation and growth of employees. This position requires interaction with Program Management, Chief Engineer, Test Director, Architects, Engineering Project Managers, suppliers and customers.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Basic Qualifications9+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. Full Spectrum Leadership with strong interpersonal skills;
Experience in one or more of following domains:
Systems Engineering, Software development, and System Safety. Proposal cost estimating experience

Experience developing detailed technical project plans and resource allocations; tracking milestones and managing schedules to meet program baselines.

Experience with requirement decomposition, allocation and verification.

Ability to lead a multi disciplined technical teams

Excellent communication skills; team building skills; and mentoring / coaching capability. Must be intimately familiar with RMS processes and procedures.

Desired Skills Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) – Implement MBSE processes using SysML, maintain model repositories, and ensure traceability from requirements through verification
