As a Test and Measurement Controls Engineer reporting to the Head of AC Testing – NA, you will provide support for equipment and facilities used in the validation testing of automotive Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) and engine cooling components. Your role will support industrial controls, including Siemens PLC control systems. The position requires a multidisciplinary background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with experience in process control, instrumentation, and data acquisition.

You will ensure data quality and adherence to validation test specifications for components and systems as part of the product development cycle.

• Design, validate, and implement controls for new test equipment and upgrades to existing equipment
• Installation and support of process control equipment including PLCs and set‑point controllers
• Design, develop, and implement HMI systems
• Installation and support of instrumentation and data acquisition systems
• Size control valves, heat exchangers, pumps, and equipment
• Diagnose refrigeration systems and equipment
• Engineer test equipment and facility enhancements
• Support technicians and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Determine project specifications and prepare cost estimates
• Develop and perform commissioning tests
• Provide guidance to technicians (no direct supervisory responsibilities)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4‑year college or university
• 1–10 years of experience in industrial controls or test equipment support
• Knowledge of PLC controls and HMI design
• Familiarity with instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems
• Understanding of HVAC, thermodynamics, and refrigeration systems
• Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis, OSHA, NFPA regulations
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills
• Ability to apply advanced high‑school mathematics concepts and solve complex problems
• Strong analytical, data‑analysis, and conclusion‑drawing skills

Compensation Range: $50,000 – $70,000
