* Helping automate their current process for hardening, testing, verification and documentation
* Patching of the systems – they use WSUS and Ivanti
* Supporting any issues that may arises from the fielded training systems at Eglin AFB.

As a Systems Engineer, invites you to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify resilient cyber solutions across the product lifecycle.
* In this role, you will Develop, evaluate, and analyze design constrains, trade-offs and detailed system and security design as they pertain to the cyber domain.
* Conduct cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and/or software designs to verify and validate compliance with defined specifications and requirements.
* Implement appropriate assessment and authorization activities, as required by customers.
* Respond to DOD guidance and engineer appropriate solutions for fielded systems.

Basic Qualifications:

* Active SECRET security clearance, and ability to maintain the security clearance.
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.
* 5+ years of technical systems engineering experience with DOD systems.
* A desire to learn, grow, and share knowledge in the cybersecurity domain.
* DoD 8570 approved baseline certification for IAT Level II (IE CompTIA Security+, GSEC SSCP, CCNA-Security) or ability to achieve certification within 6 months.
* Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, be well organized, flexible, and self-motivated.
* Ability to communicate effectively within cross-functional teams (Systems Engineers, Software Developers, System Administrators, and Information Systems Security Managers).EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
