Mechanical Engineer
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a team member of the Mechanical Integrity Execution team, you will be engaged in a variety of activities. Most days, you will progress on defined order execution tasks evaluating the structural integrity and mechanical behavior of compressor or package components under static and dynamic loads. You will engage in team discussions to determine the best analytical approaches for your work and the work of your colleagues in a collaborative environment.
You will additionally exchange within multifunctional project teams to share the insights from your results and provide recommendations for the component design where relevant. Finally, you will contribute ideas on how to enhance our standard processes as part of our continuous improvement.

The highly successful candidate will progress over time in their areas of skill and interest and could grow into additional responsibility such as defining our internal tools and analysis methods, engaging directly with customers as an expert in supporting field service issues, or proposing and leading key projects driving process and product improvements.
How You’ll Make An Impact- As a Mechanical Integrity Execution engineer, you will work on structural integrity topics in the field of static and dynamic analysis of highly loaded compressor components for both traditional and green energy industries.
- You will support new unit and service projects evaluating the structural suitability of components and assemblies to meeting industry specifications and regulatory requirements.
- You will use finite element methods to simulate stress and displacement on structures due to static or transient loads, and modal analysis to determine structural frequencies with harmonic response analysis.
- In addition to your contract support activities you will support field issues, participate in quality improvement, and cost reduction efforts. Technical support for product engineering, manufacturing and sales will enhance your scope of work, allowing you to learn from the close cooperation at the same time.
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred) with 3-5 years of mechanical analysis experience preferred.
- Proficient in structural simulation using ANSYS (Mechanical APDL/Workbench), Siemens NX for CAD, and integration with MATLAB, Excel, and Python.
- Experienced in structural (2D, 3D, non-linear), dynamic, fatigue, and thermal analysis, including hand calculations for simple problems.
- Strong understanding of materials strength, heat transfer, vibration, and fatigue phenomena.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a detail-oriented approach to advanced analysis and complex problem-solving.
- Preferred candidates will have experience in field failure investigation, turbo-machinery, and knowledge of API, ASME, DIN EN codes related to centrifugal compressors, as well as experimental modal analysis experience.
