Job Responsibilities

Develops maintenance procedures through the following:
1) Performs technical reviews of procedures;
2) Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review;
3) Creates and reviews job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure Management of Change work process (MOC).

Leads minor capital projects through scope, implementation and completion working with operations, maintenance and finance to ensure proper commissioning.

Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.

Delivers maintenance input into major project activities and acts as maintenance representative for capital projects.

Performs regular field assessments of equipment.

Participates in the facilitation and implementation of the Root Cause Investigation process to include application of the cause and effect methodology in all areas where reliability opportunities are identified and where the RCI triggers are met.

Creates Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon opportunity analysis, asset criticality and identified plant/business needs.

Evaluates and quantifies continuous improvement projects such as equipment reconfigurations, design changes, equipment component changes, etc.

Evaluates effectiveness of individual aspects of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program by showing quantitatively the impact of failures and PPM.

Facilitates and/or contributes greatly to driving proactive RCM optimization activities to support overall productivity improvement.

Asset utilization and cost data is analyzed to develop and prioritize a list of reliability opportunities.

Evaluates/validates the impact of corrective actions that impact availability/reliability and leverages solutions to achieve objectives.

Participates in improvement activities as appropriate;
Process Simplification, Value Engineering, Maintenance Strategy, Reliability Modeling, etc.

Participates in plant health study and efforts to implement corrective action to maintain or improve plant health.

Applies long‑term cost of ownership and reliability engineering principles in conjunction with the maintenance team to design reliability into our purchasing requirements and set stock levels.

Provides equipment reliability and performance data to the M&R Manager for evaluation of equipment performance, vendor performance, and modifications.

Compliance

Must comply with all Federal, State, Local and Company rules and regulations on Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
Responsible for maintaining Alkegen's highest level of safety standards on site including identifying and correcting unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
Will embody Alkegen's core safety principles including but not limited to The Seven Safety Absolutes, use of PPE, and Safe Standards of Work at all times.
