We are currently looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to drive the advancement of Quick Disconnect Coupling (QDC) solutions tailored for fluid conveyance and data center thermal management. Your daily contributions will involve hands-on prototype creation, rigorous lab evaluation, and detailed technical analysis, all while collaborating with diverse engineering groups to validate new technologies.
We are currently looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to drive the advancement of Quick Disconnect Coupling (QDC) solutions tailored for fluid conveyance and data center thermal management. Your daily contributions will involve hands-on prototype creation, rigorous lab evaluation, and detailed technical analysis, all while collaborating with diverse engineering groups to validate new technologies.
Core Responsibilities- Oversee research and development projects, ranging from initial feasibility assessments and conceptual design to the creation and testing of prototypes.
- Conduct systematic engineering experiments to help ensure the team makes data-driven decisions based on accurate analysis.
- Design and verify the integrity of pressure-boundary parts and sealing systems to ensure optimal flow performance and cleanliness.
- Facilitate the assembly of prototypes by partnering with internal departments like Manufacturing and Quality, as well as external vendors.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including risk evaluations, design reports, and formal presentations.
- Drive organizational growth by contributing to innovation efforts and protecting new intellectual property.
- Foster a culture of excellence by providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff and technicians.
- An advanced degree, specifically a Master's or Ph.D., in Materials, Mechanical, or Product Engineering.
- Proven background in product development, laboratory experimentation, or the design of fluid handling hardware.
- Deep technical expertise in mechanical design principles, pressure testing, material science, and sealing technologies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in root cause analysis, structured problem-solving methodologies, and Lean/DFSS practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills to help bridge communication gaps between departments and translate complex technical data for stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CAD software, data analysis tools, and laboratory testing instrumentation is highly desirable.
