What you'll be doing:Designing electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage networks.
Conducting site visits, inspections, and surveys to support both design and construction.
Preparing detailed construction documents such as drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, and load calculations.
Ensuring designs comply with all codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinating with architects, mechanical, and plumbing engineers to deliver integrated project solutions.
Reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and supporting construction administration.
Leading smaller-scale projects as Project Engineer or Project Manager when needed.
Using software tools like Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD to complete designs efficiently.
What we're looking for:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer with substantial experience in facility assessments
10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering or facilities assessment
Experience managing assessment projects for government or public-sector clients
Knowledge of NYS OGS procedures is preferred
Strong understanding of building systems, construction practices, and evaluations for various facility types
Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to diverse stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision in assessments and reporting
Familiarity with the Uniformat Group II classification system is a plus
