Job Description & How to Apply Below
A UK-based business working inside some of the world’s most critical IT environments, delivering thermal and energy monitoring and simulation that helps customers release stranded capacity, cut energy use and reduce risk, is hiring an Integration Engineer to connect their software platform to real infrastructure in data centres and commercial facilities. You will own each integration from discovery through to commissioning, pulling data from BMS/BAS, EPMS and IT/facility devices into their DCIM and monitoring offerings.
The experience range is open, with the focus on hands‑on integration capability.
- Join a business already embedded in mission-critical environments, where your integrations directly drive customer energy savings and risk reduction
- A genuinely varied role: site walks, comms rooms and customer calls, rather than a single desk‑bound function
- Sit at the centre of customers, controls contractors and internal Product and Engineering, with your field lessons shaping the connectors and templates the platform uses
- Work with the real protocols and tools of the trade (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, Wireshark) on live critical infrastructure
- Lead technical discovery with customers, reviewing existing BMS/BAS/EPMS architecture, network topology and points schedules to define integration scope
- Configure and commission integrations using BACnet (IP and MS/TP), Modbus (TCP and RTU) and SNMP (v1/v2c/v3)
- Build and validate point mappings, including scaling, units, data types, byte/word order and naming conventions
- Work with third‑party controls specialists, M&E contractors and customer IT/OT teams on network access, firewall rules and device configuration
- Produce integration documentation (points schedules, network diagrams, as-builts, commissioning reports), feed field lessons back to Product and Engineering, and support post‑deployment escalations from Customer Success
- 3 to 5+ years of experience integrating BMS, BAS, EPMS or DCIM systems in data centre, mission‑critical or commercial building environments
- Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline
- Hands‑on experience with both BACnet (IP and MS/TP) and Modbus (TCP and RTU), plus SNMP v1/v2c/v3
- Experience writing commissioning reports, as‑builts and network diagrams to a customer‑ready standard
- Comfortable working with customer IT/OT teams on firewall and network access requirements
