Chief Engineer

This isn't a role where you'll simply review drawings from the sidelines.

We're looking for a Chief Engineer to take technical ownership within a major structural steel operation - leading engineering, shaping connection design, solving complex technical challenges, and helping drive projects from engineering through production.

You'll be stepping into a position where your decisions have a direct impact on quality, efficiency, and the successful delivery of major steel projects.

As Chief Engineer, you'll become a key technical leader within the business.

You'll work closely with detailing, project management, production and quality teams
, ensuring engineering decisions translate effectively from calculations and drawings into the shop and ultimately onto the project.

You'll also have the opportunity to develop junior engineers and improve engineering processes
, giving you genuine influence over how the function operates.

• Lead engineering activities and oversee structural steel connection design

• Review and approve engineering calculations

• Work closely with detailing and project management

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

• Develop and improve engineering processes

• Support production and quality teams

• Mentor and develop junior engineers

• Provide technical leadership across projects

We're particularly interested in engineers with:

• Strong structural steel engineering experience

• Solid connection design knowledge

• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams

• Strong understanding of AISC standards

• PE License preferred

• Bridge experience would be beneficial

• The confidence to make technical decisions and take ownership
