Our clientele at Color Atelier ranges from architects, designers, and contractors, to design-savvy shoppers, homeowners, and DIYers.

We are seeking a Customer Support & Sales Operations Specialist to become an integral part of our team, contributing significantly to our operational and sales efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of our Brooklyn showroom, which includes processing orders—such as tinting paints and plasters—and preparing them for shipment, in addition to providing customer support services.

We would need this person to be able to represent our brand to the high standards that we maintain in our products, and our customer service, This position is for someone who wants to grow with our company and add their energy and creativity to the team.

This full-time position is based out of Color Atelier's Brooklyn Showroom, at the Industry City. The environment is fun, and creative with lots of shops, and restaurants around, and also within short walking distance of public transportation.

We provide a competitive compensation package that includes a generous base salary, paid time off, 401K, plus a performance-based bonus, if applicable.

Position: Full-time

Rate of Pay: Depending on experience, $60 - 65k per yer

Hours of work and days: Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and be capable of giving expert color, finish, and design advice.
  • Process orders—such as tinting paints and plasters—and preparing them for shipment.
  • Take customer orders through various methods (email, phone, in-person) and standard retail procedures for an appointment-only showroom setup.
  • Respond to sales and customer service inquiries via phone and follow-up emails, providing assistance with product applications, and troubleshooting.
  • Host showroom appointments, providing the absolute best customer service experience.
  • Manage and build new and existing client relationships, including but not limited to designers, architects, and contractors.
  • Communicate daily with the San Francisco showroom to coordinate order shipments and manage product inventory.
  • Organize the showroom, review the inventory status. Clean and maintain all areas and equipment. Arrange stock items.
  • Willing to jump in when and where needed. Additional duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in customer support and sales within design and architecture settings, with additional skills in paint and plaster as a bonus.
  • Proficiency in using computers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Developing extensive knowledge across our products.
  • Willingness to take the extra steps needed to exceed our clients' expectations.
  • Displaying a willingness to work along with team members and assist all customers in the showroom.
  • Manage time wisely, work independently, and be a self-motivating proactive worker.
  • Four years of High School with a diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred.
