Description

Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability. They may work variable hours, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular, or full‑time hourly. The primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. All team members must act as a representative of Regal consistently with our mission statement and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Box Office
  • Operate POS system, ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, discounted tickets, passes, and coupons
  • Upsell/suggestive sell Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX)
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
  • Respond to phone calls and guest inquiries in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy
Concession
  • Operate POS system, manage cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, coupons, and concession stock inventory
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession‑related equipment
  • Upsell/suggestive sell
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws
  • Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods
  • Maintain current alcohol certification and training where applicable
  • If the theatre sells alcohol, meet legal age and training requirements and complete required state or local training and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University
  • Complete training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination
Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats when necessary
  • Enforce the MPAA rating system
  • Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and help maintain a safe environment
  • Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management
  • Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways, and other areas outside the auditorium
  • Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by management
Pay Scale Information

$16.50 Per Hr.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier or progression toward completion is required. If the theatre sells alcohol, the employee must complete legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate, plus the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.

Language Ability

Possess good public speaking, listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly.

Math Ability

Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.

Reasoning Ability

Identify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, and take action beyond what is necessarily called for. Perform under pressure and/or opposition.

Personal Skills

Possess excellent communication skills with customers, co‑workers, and management. Establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives.
