Event Staff NY​/NJ Metro Area

About the Company: Elegant Music Group (EMG) is a full-service entertainment company offering bands, DJs, live musicians, photo booths, lighting and event design. Servicing over 1500 events a year, EMG is seeking quality Event Staff candidates to assist our private events.

Compensation: $25/hr Starting Wage

Job Description: Event Staff are responsible for set up and break down of events, and servicing specific roles during an event. Event roles may include: DJ assistant, set up and breakdown crew, lighting technicians, and photobooth attendants. Event Staff are expected to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between the months of April through December.

Responsibilities:

• Attend 4 paid training seminars provided by Elegant Music Group to learn how to use and troubleshoot all of our equipment, and to learn the flow of our events.
• Full weekend availability (scheduled shifts will be expected Friday-Sunday).
• Receive and carry out directions as provided by event lead / staffing manager.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Unload vehicles at event and help with the overall load in and out.
• Must be on time for set up of all events.
• Ensure proper care and handling of company equipment.
• Maintain a current knowledge-base of all services we offer.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:

• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Personable and great communication skills.
• Must have your own means of transportation.
• Willing and able to work in a positive team environment.
• Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs.
• Music/Sound/Production equipment knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to bend and reach overhead.

License/Certification:

• Driver’s License (Required).

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (Required).
