Tournament Organizer

Nxt Legaci Gaming is looking for a passionate, organized, and community‑driven Tournament Organizer to join our team! Located in the heart of Times Square, we are a premier destination for trading card games, video games, collectibles, and live entertainment.

We're seeking a motivated individual who can develop, organize, promote, and execute tournaments and events while growing our gaming communities, increasing attendance, and delivering exceptional player experiences.

• Plan, organize, and execute weekly TCG and video game tournaments, special events, and community activations.
• Manage player registration, tournament brackets, entry fees, prizing, and official organized play requirements.
• Ensure tournaments start on time, run efficiently, and follow all applicable game rules and company procedures.
• Prepare tournament materials, promotional products, gaming equipment, and event spaces.
• Resolve player questions and disputes professionally while maintaining a welcoming and competitive environment.
• Coordinate with management, sales associates, and independent tournament organizers to ensure smooth operations.

• Build and maintain relationships with players, community leaders, gaming groups, and content creators.
• Actively promote tournaments through Discord, local gaming communities, and in-store customer interactions.
• Develop new tournament concepts, leagues, learn‑to‑play sessions, and community events.
• Identify opportunities to increase attendance, repeat participation, and community engagement.
• Establish relationships with local clubs, universities, esports organizations, and gaming communities.

• Coordinate with our other Tournament Organizers and the Marketing team to promote upcoming tournaments and special events.
• Capture event footage, feature matches, winners, and exciting community moments.
• Assist with Discord announcements, event listings, and promotional content.
• Identify opportunities for creator collaborations and community partnerships.

• Maintain an organized tournament and event calendar at least 30 days in advance.
• Track attendance, event revenue, expenses, player retention, and overall profitability.
• Evaluate tournament performance and recommend improvements or new programming.
• Coordinate with the Inventory Manager to identify product demand and retail opportunities related to events.
• Submit event proposals, budgets, and operational requirements for management approval.

• Previous tournament organizing, event management, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and responsibilities independently.
• Comfortable interacting with large groups and resolving competitive disputes.
• Experience using Discord and tournament registration or bracket management software.
• Understanding of organized play procedures, tournament structures, and competitive gaming communities.
• Reliable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and major event dates.

• Trading Card Game Knowledge: Experience with Pokémon, One Piece, Magic:
  The Gathering, Yu‑Gi‑Oh!, Gundam, Digimon, Riftbound, or other TCGs.
• Competitive Video Gaming: Familiarity with Super Smash Bros., Tekken, Street Fighter, Mario Kart, and other competitive gaming communities.
• Official Organized Play
