As a Tax Manager based out of our New York, NY office, you will work alongside an integrated team of seasoned CPAs and industry leaders. In this role, you will take a lead role on all aspects of tax engagements, supervise and mentor staff, and build and maintain relationships with clients.

• Review and prepare individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns for accuracy
• Research and draft memoranda involving complex tax matters
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities
• Handle and resolve tax controversies
• Oversee complete tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
• Conduct constructive discussions with team members for evaluations and provide counsel accordingly
• Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA license, JD, or Master of Science in Taxation is required
• At least 5 years of prior experience in a public accounting tax department, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
• Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast‑paced, interactive, results‑based team environment
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities to represent the firm to client management
• Excellent organizational and project‑management skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to travel as needed

The compensation range for this position is $110,000 – $180,000. In addition, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and a bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts depend on the specific role, hiring location, and the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
