Associate, Product Management & Investor Relations (Private Equity Secondaries)

Ares Management is seeking a high-performing Associate to join the Private Equity Secondaries Product Management and Investor Relations team in New York. The role supports capital‑raising and marketing activities for the Private Equity Secondaries strategy, working closely with Portfolio Management, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Human Resources.

The Associate will create marketing materials, analyze data for content creation, address investor queries, draft quarterly/annual investor reports, conduct market and competitor research, maintain investment and performance data, and support investors with audit and fee data requests.

• Develop strong relationships with internal subject‑matter experts across the firm.
• Create and edit marketing investor materials for co‑investment and funds.
• Build and maintain prospect/marketing materials, updating data on a quarterly or ad‑hoc basis.
• Process investor questionnaire and due‑diligence requests.
• Track quantitative and qualitative key metrics on competitors.
• Produce monthly/quarterly portfolio reports for investors in commingled funds and separately managed accounts.
• Collaborate with Finance, Portfolio Management, Legal, and Compliance on investor requests such as audit confirmations, financial statements, and fee data.
• Execute ad‑hoc projects and assist teammates as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience (investment banking, asset management, consulting, or alternative investments).
• Experience in investor relations or business development within a placement agent, secondaries fund, asset manager, or private equity firm is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to represent the firm professionally.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Problem‑solving ability and proactive mindset.
• Self‑starter with ability to set priorities, multi‑task, and meet deadlines.
• Strong initiative and work ethic; collaborative team player.
• Series 7, 63 and SIE licensing or ability to obtain.

Base salary range: $120,000 – $145,000. Total compensation may include a discretionary performance‑based bonus.
