Vice President, Fraud Audit

Overview

VP Audit Project Leader (Anti-Fraud) s role is located in Lake Mary, Florida. The role contributes to the Corporate Functions Audit team and supports the development and execution of the Anti-Fraud audit program within a leading global financial services company.

• Lead or participate in delivering complex Anti-Fraud audit assignments.
• Lead or participate in end-to-end planning, fieldwork and reporting of Financial Crime and Sanctions audit assignments, considering complex and judgmental business scenarios.
• Coach colleagues, review their work, and provide meaningful feedback.
• Identify meaningful issues impacting the business and operations under review; challenge management to ensure appropriate remedial action is taken.
• Prepare draft audit and project reports.
• Follow up on audit actions and test their implementation where necessary.
• Build and proactively manage relationships with key stakeholders and participate in Continuous Monitoring activities.
• Build new Anti-Fraud dashboards with the Audit Data Analytics team.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Internal Audit on Anti-Fraud.
• Contribute to the development of the annual Anti-Fraud audit plan.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry, best practice and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks and projects as directed by audit senior management.
• Represent Internal Audit on projects and at management meetings/committees.
• Collaborate with the second line of defense compliance function.
• Apply a data-first mindset and harness advanced data analytics to deliver value-added audit projects.

• 7-10 years of experience in financial services or banking, within Anti-Fraud audit or compliance.
• Knowledge of Anti-Fraud regulatory updates and recent frauds affecting BNY and the industry.
• Strong communication and influencing skills; able to communicate with stakeholders at senior levels, both written and verbal.
• Substantial operations, conduct, and governance understanding and exposure.
• Strong anti-fraud risk and control mindset.
• Self-starter with a high degree of self-sufficiency.
• Excellent planning, coordination, organization, and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including with colleagues remotely.
• Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience; post-graduate qualification (e.g., CFE) is desirable but not essential.
