Role: Senior Accountant
Salary: $125K - $140K Base + Bonus
Location: New York, New York
* Hybrid - 3 days per week on-site*

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

Fixed assets accounting, including depreciation schedules and asset disposals.

Calculation and recording of expense accruals, including but not limited to payroll, taxes, and operational expenses.

Develop and present management reports that provide insightful analysis including variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.

Recording and accrual of revenue in accordance with accounting standards and company policies, recognizing revenue in the correct accounting periods.

Review and verify the accuracy of financial statements and reports, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

Assist with implementing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities, working closely with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives.

Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors during annual audits, providing all necessary information and assistance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

5-7 years of accounting experience, investment management or financial services industry preferred.

Strong understanding of US GAAP as well as financial and accounting principles.

Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Diligence and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with Net Suite and Workiva is preferred.
