What is the Opportunity?

The Strats Group at SMBC Global Markets is a front-office team that combines quantitative, mathematical, and engineering expertise to empower our sales and trading operations. We design and maintain the consistency of valuation and risk models, and we work closely with both trading and technology teams to deliver business solutions. As a Strats Analyst, you will help create the libraries, tools, and platforms that drive our rates trading desks.

Responsibilities:

• Develop pricing and risk analytics software using Java and C++
• Lead collaboration between front-office and engineering teams to deliver stable and scalable solutions
• Translate complex financial and business concerns into technical solutions and communicate capabilities to non-technical stakeholders
