Bumble is looking for an Associate Director, Intercompany and Consolidation to provide a best‑in‑class intercompany and consolidation process in Net Suite as well as development of internal controls and procedures. This role will also manage our statutory reporting under IFRS. The ideal candidate will demonstrate requisite technical accounting expertise, strong leadership skills, team management experience to support the financial reporting requirements in a fast‑paced global environment;

navigating between fine operational details and the big picture of Bumble’s ambitious goals. This very hands‑on role will lead the intercompany, statutory reporting and consolidation processes for Bumble, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. This role reports to the Global Controller and involves close collaboration with various teams including Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Internal Audit.

While this role is focused on statutory compliance and intercompany, this role will take on other month‑end responsibilities as well.

What you will do
  • Assist and/or review month‑end tasks such as accruals, fixed assets, intangibles and amortization across multiple entities; including international entities in various foreign currencies

    Responsible for working cross functionally to ensure completeness of monthly expenses.
  • Be the main point of contact for statutory audit teams and provide information to external firms to prepare and review the financial statements.
  • Assist in the multi‑currency and multiple legal entities consolidation process, along with other month‑end close responsibilities such as the preparation of the fluctuation analysis and intercompany and intercompany loan transactions.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the US external auditors for the year‑end audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end process of subsidiary statutory reporting under IFRS ensuring accurate financial statements for each country.
  • Ensure all statutory audits requests are responded to in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review significant accounting policies and help in the analysis of technical accounting issues as it relates to intercompany and consolidation and other statutory accounting issues.
  • Collaborate with our Net Suite team to implement system enhancements and automation for intercompany and the consolidation process. In addition, provide best practices for improved timeliness and accuracy of data related to intercompany and consolidation.
  • Assist in managing the Net Suite chart of accounts, as needed.
  • Work with the tax and legal team on intercompany loans, entity closures and transfer pricing.
  • Collaborate with the global accounting and finance team to support intercompany and other accounting initiatives.
  • Document all intercompany transactions and consolidation related controls for SOX and assist with other month‑end tasks.

    Take on special projects and contribute to process improvements as needed.

Key Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including Big 4 public accounting and/or industry experience in a multinational company
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS. Prior experience in a publicly traded technology or SaaS company is highly desirable.
