Vice President/Director-level High Yield Desk Analyst – Credit Trading team, focusing on Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector.

We are seeking a highly experienced analyst to provide deep fundamental and relative value analysis, generate actionable trade ideas, and partner closely with traders and sales to drive revenue opportunities across the HY credit spectrum.

• Sector Coverage: Lead coverage of HY issuers in the TMT space, including cable, telecom, media, internet, and technology hardware/software companies.
• Credit Analysis: Perform fundamental research, capital structure analysis, and relative value assessments to identify investment opportunities.
• Idea Generation: Deliver timely, differentiated trade ideas to the desk, leveraging both primary and secondary market opportunities.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, earnings releases, rating agency actions, and macroeconomic developments impacting HY credit.
• Collaboration: Work closely with traders, sales, and syndicate to support client flows, risk management, and capital allocation decisions.
• Client Engagement: Participate in client calls and meetings, articulating views on credits and sectors to institutional investors.
• Execution Support: Provide real-time input during trading sessions, helping to optimize desk positioning and risk management.
• Thought Leadership: Publish internal notes and sector updates to keep the desk and broader firm informed on key developments.

• 7-12+ years of experience in high yield credit research or trading, with a strong track record in TMT coverage.
• Deep understanding of HY capital structures, leveraged finance, and distressed situations.
• Strong modeling skills (cash flow, leverage, recovery analysis) and ability to synthesize complex information quickly.
• Excellent communication skills, presenting investment theses clearly to internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Established network of industry contacts, including issuers, rating agencies, and buy-side investors.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure trading environment.
