Our Institutional Research Group is seeking an analyst to join our Fund Strategies team, which covers the breadth of private capital markets across fundraising, performance, and thematic research. As part of a small team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, sharpen your current analytical skills, gain valuable insight into a fascinating industry, and contribute to our best-in-class private capital research.
The work produced by this team is used by thousands of private capital investors, investment banks, and service providers worldwide. Our team is innovative, motivated, and dedicated to delivering the most comprehensive research to our readers and clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the team’s coverage of fundraising and performance trends in private funds, with the ability to write with authority about private capital markets
- Establish research frameworks to provide independent commentary, evaluations, and forecasts around our primary coverage areas, while identifying unique themes that may impact private markets
- Utilize proprietary Pitch Book data and other external sources to inform and develop original research
- Write and edit research reports as directed by the team pipeline and publishing calendar
- Work closely with Pitch Book Institutional Research Group (PIRG) data analysis team to identify unique datasets to support research
- Develop and manage relationships with both client and non-client industry professionals to help support primary research efforts
- Manage and respond to inquiries from clients, press, internal colleagues, and the general public regarding published research
- Support written research efforts through speaking engagements such as Pitch Book webinars and podcasts
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics preferred
- Progress toward achieving a CFA or CAIA designation a plus
