ABOUTTHE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at The Knot Worldwide is the financial engine that partners with executive leadership to drive growth by providing comprehensive financial advice that enables informed, high‑impact decision‑making across our expansive family of brands and business models (2‑Sided Marketplaces, eCommerce, Advertising, and Media).
RESPONSIBILITIES:We are seeking a Senior Manager of Go‑to‑Market Finance who will serve as a key financial partner for our commercial leadership (Chief Revenue Officer and US Sales Leadership). This high‑impact role focuses on driving growth and GTM efficiency as the finance leader for our two largest marketplace businesses, The Knot and Wedding Wire.
1. Strategic Business Partnership- CRO and US Sales Finance Partner: Act as a partner to our Commercial Leadership team including Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and US Sales Leadership guiding decision‑making for The Knot and Wedding Wire marketplaces.
- Pricing & Monetization: Partner with the Pricing and Monetization leader to model, test, and analyze the financial impact of new business models and pricing strategies.
- GTM Financial Modeling: Own the financial modeling for all Go‑to‑Market motions continuously analyzing and reporting on key unit economic indicators such as LTV:
CAC, CAC Payback Period, and Sales Efficiency. - Cohort Analysis: Drive deep‑dive cohort analyses to enhance the understanding of performance, developing new ways to view the business and track results.
- Strategic Modeling: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic decisions, investment ROI, and other high‑impact initiatives.
- Executive Reporting: Assist in preparing and presenting financial analysis and key metrics for management, the Board of Directors, and investors.
- Planning: Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on resource allocation including headcount planning and expense management to drive efficient growth.
- Ad‑Hoc Analysis: Lead ad‑hoc, in‑depth financial analysis and reporting projects to provide critical decision support for commercial leadership.
- Automation & AI Champion: Champion the adoption of automation and AI tools within the finance function to enhance efficiency and analytical capabilities.
- Relevant Background: 8+ years of increasing responsibility in highly analytical roles such as Strategic Finance, Go‑to‑Market Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Data Science, or Management Consulting (or 6+ years showing rapid career acceleration).
- Education: MBA and a Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, STEM, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Statistics).
- Strategic Acumen: Deep understanding of competitive dynamics and the broader industry landscape; ability to connect daily operational decisions to long‑term strategic goals.
- Model Building: Proven ability to build, refine, and maintain sophisticated financial models for existing businesses and new ventures.
- Analytical Excellence: Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the capacity to think creatively and critically about unstructured problems.
- Strategic Storyteller: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capacity to translate complex technical analysis into a clear, compelling narrative that effectively influences C‑level executives and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Leadership Presence: Confidence and skill to present effectively, describe complex deliverables, and communicate effectively with Senior Leadership.
