We’re looking for a Hybrid - Financial Analyst for our client. If you have 5-10 years of experience in Finance or Accounting and Utility or Manufacturing domain then this is a great opportunity to grow your career with a company known for excellence.
What You’ll Do- Prepare U.S. GAAP and regulatory filings, including FERC and State reporting.
- Compile and review financial information to create monthly and annual financial statements.
- Support the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Analyze and explain income statement and balance sheet variances and trends.
- Monitor and report variances in income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow against budget and historical data.
- Collaborate with Regulation and Pricing teams to assess rate plan impacts.
- Verify, reconcile, and update accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and implement effective disclosures.
- Meet financial reporting and filing deadlines.
- Support financial and non-financial controls to meet business requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Experience with general ledger platforms and accounting systems.
- Knowledge of gas and electric accounting or similar specialized disciplines.
- Utility service or similar industry experience preferred.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective collaboration and partnership skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including working with auditors.
- Intellectual curiosity and critical self-review of work.
- Ability to explain financial variances clearly.
