Role Overview

The Asset Approval Team within the Direct Lender Financing FSL group is seeking experienced Analyst to Associate-level professionals to support the execution, approval, and ongoing management of private credit and direct lending facilities. This role partners closely with internal coverage and structuring teams, as well as external clients and syndicate partners, to ensure disciplined underwriting, effective collateral management, and timely transaction execution.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal client coverage, structuring, and execution teams to support the origination, approval, and closing of Direct Lender Financing facilities.
  • Perform ongoing servicing and management of active lending facilities, including reviewing, approving, and communicating underlying loan and collateral approvals to external clients.
  • Review, analyze, and value underlying loan collateral across a range of private credit and leveraged finance transactions.
  • Prepare internal presentation materials and analyses focused on leveraged finance metrics, portfolio performance, and market conditions for review by internal committees.
  • Monitor market trends and private credit conditions to support reporting and strategic decision‑making.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and syndicate partners regarding client investment strategies, collateral pool composition, and portfolio statistics.
  • Support ad hoc analyses and projects related to asset approvals, portfolio monitoring, and risk management.
Qualifications
  • 2+ Years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, credit analysis, valuation, or a related field.
  • Completion of a formal credit training program at a reputable investment or commercial bank is preferred.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close‑knit, collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in desktop applications, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
