Collections Specialist
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday, Standard Business Hours
Salary: DoE
A growing financial services company is seeking a motivated and professional Collections Specialist to manage merchant accounts and support payment resolution efforts. This role is well suited for someone with strong communication skills who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities- Contact merchants regarding outstanding payments and account statuses
- Work directly with clients to resolve payment issues and negotiate resolutions
- Maintain detailed, accurate notes and documentation for all accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolutions
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and confident phone presence
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Prior experience in collections or finance is a plus but not required
- Ability to work full-time in an in-office setting
