Project Accountant

EA Talent Solutions has been engaged by a New York City‑based private real estate investment and development firm specializing in luxury residential and mixed‑use projects to recruit an on‑site Project Accountant
. This hands‑on role will oversee financial operations across multiple high‑end developments—from acquisition through construction and closeout—serving as a key link between accounting, development, and construction to ensure accurate financial tracking and alignment with strategic goals.

• Project Accounting:
  • Manage full‑cycle accounting for active developments
  • Track and reconcile hard/soft costs, review pay apps, draw packages, and vendor invoices
  • Maintain ledgers, prepare monthly reports, and monitor budget variances
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with development teams on budgets, forecasts, and cost‑to‑complete
  • Analyze variances and support corrective actions
  • Manage lender draw submissions and documentation
• Reporting & Communication:
  • Deliver timely financial reports to internal teams, lenders, and partners
  • Present project financials in review meetings
  • Ensure cross‑functional alignment on financial data
• Compliance & Controls:
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and proper cost capitalization
  • Support audits and process improvements

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7–10 years of accounting experience, including with a real estate developer
• Strong knowledge of NYC luxury condo or mixed‑use development
• Proficient in Yardi, Sage, MRI, or Procore; advanced Excel skills
• CPA preferred
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment

Salary Range: $125,000 – $200,000
