Senior Accountant

A stable, growth-focused organization in Queens is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis - Up to $105,000 per annum.

Our client is an owner-managed organization that has been in operation for over 70 years. Due to internal promotion, there is a requirement for a Senior Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. This position will be site-based.

The organization has a great culture that is inclusive, collaborative, and supportive, which has driven their average tenure to over 9 years. The offices form part of a distribution center and are open plan and welcoming.

• Supporting the monthly close process, including production of financial statements
• Taking a lead on the GL close process
• Completion of journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and Balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting monthly financial analysis and reporting
• Partnering with the CFO on quarterly and annual close tasks
• Financial operations tasks when required
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis

• Experience with completing month-end close processes
• Seeking a role with stability and longevity
• Ideally, exposure to manufacturing or distribution environments (not essential)
• A Bachelor's degree in a finance/accounting discipline
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Willingness to work onsite in Queens

The compensation on offer is between $85,000 and $105,000 per annum base salary, plus a 401K match scheme, healthcare plan (including medical, dental, and vision), 2 weeks PTO, plus sick and federal, as well as other company-specific benefits.

The Senior Accountant position is a pivotal part of the structure within the organization due to the scope, exposure, and impact that the role has. Due to the growth within the position, applicants will need to be site-based in Queens, where they will work closely with the CFO.
