Coda Search is partnering with a rapidly growing telecommunications company delivering innovative connectivity solutions to businesses and consumers across the U.S. With accelerated expansion through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, the organization is scaling its finance function and seeking an Assistant Controller to support financial operations and strengthen accounting processes.
The Assistant Controller will play a key leadership role in overseeing the month-end close process, general ledger integrity, cash management, and debt reporting. This individual will act as a key business partner within the finance team, support audit readiness, and scale the accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Oversee daily cash positioning, bank reconciliations, and liquidity forecasting.
- Prepare and maintain debt schedules, including interest calculations, covenant tracking, and lender reporting.
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting packages for private equity sponsors and senior leadership.
- Serve as a primary point of contact during annual external audits.
- Prepare supporting schedules, documentation, and work papers.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff; provide leadership in a collaborative, high-growth environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA highly preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry experience.
- Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth multi-entity environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with a process-improvement mindset.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, scaling environment with multiple priorities.
