Senior Accountant- Family Office

One of the top philanthropic families in NYC is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist with the family’s personal accounting and taxes.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate general ledger records for multiple entities, including investment and bank accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and consolidated reports.
• Support cash flow management and monitor liquidity across entities.
• Reconcile bank and brokerage accounts, inter-company transactions, and investment activity.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for entities and family member reporting.
• Help with investment performance tracking and accounting for various assets.
• Support compliance with internal controls and maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in estate planning and wealth transfer accounting as needed.
• Coordinate with legal, tax, investment advisors, and family members to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of partnership and trust accounting, investment reporting, and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable working with confidential information.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented and proactive.
