Overview
The Senior Securitized Products Evaluator supports Evaluated Pricing Service by delivering accurate and defensible valuations for securitized fixed income securities. These evaluations are used by asset managers, banks, custodians, and brokers for reporting, research, and risk management. This role is instrumental in pricing complex instruments, maintaining dealer relationships, and enhancing pricing methodologies. The evaluator also serves as a subject matter expert for clients, internal stakeholders, and junior team members.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily fair value pricing of securitized fixed income securities.
- Apply market data, prepayment models, yield curve movements, and quotes to evaluate securities.
- Maintain spread consistency across rated security waterfalls.
- Conduct quality control checks to validate pricing accuracy.
- Present valuation methodologies and justifications to clients in pre- and post-sales discussions.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with broker-dealer communities for market insights.
- Support ongoing enhancements for regulatory compliance, automation, accuracy, and transparency.
- Mentor and train junior evaluators; document training content and market best practices.
- Collaborate with research and analytics teams to improve pricing models and production systems.
- 5+ years of securitized products valuation experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Strong understanding of fixed income pricing, including analytics and methodology
- Experience presenting complex pricing logic to clients and stakeholders
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Yield Book experience
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, or VBA
- Previous work in financial data services or structured finance consulting
- Fixed income valuation
- Analytical thinking and quantitative modeling
- Client-facing communication
- Securitized product market knowledge
- Excel and data management
- Programming (VBA, SQL, Python)
- Understanding of waterfall structures
- QA process adherence
- Regulatory awareness and financial modeling
