Junior Trader - Currency Swap

Job description

We are looking for a junior trader who is eager to succeed in interest rates/derivatives markets. The desk market‑makes interest rate options (swaptions, cap/floor, Bermudans, exotics, etc) and cross‑currency swaps (interest rate swaps of Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Oceania and Lat Am, etc). Candidate needs an established presence in the industry, with a long track record of achieving ambitious budgets. She or he will be in charge of shadow‑pricing client trades, booking trades plus managing hands‑on trading tools.

Client flows, hedge market risks and portfolios to generate alphas must be handled. Other factors:

• Bachelor degree from an accredited college
• 1-3 years of trading experience is plus, but not required
• A passion for financial markets and interest rate products.
• Ability to absorb and learn quickly.
• Attention to details.
• Bilingual Japanese is a plus
• Excellent communication and interaction with clients, brokers and sales staff.
• Ability to think for yourself and solve complex issues. Excellent academic performance, especially in mathematics and computer science, and/or experience in the trading industry is a big plus.
• Experience in trading any assets and/or formulating trading strategies is also favorable for this position.
