The OpportunityThe global capital markets are among the largest markets in the world valued at $50T+ and growing. Transactions in these markets are complex. Critical, nuanced legal terms are woven into lengthy documents. These documents must be digested and analyzed by many different parties over the course of a single transaction and multiple decisions are made based on the terms laid out and quantitative and qualitative attributes within.
This fundamental need plus a booming market drives enormous demand for precise extraction and benchmarking of legal terms.
As a Part-Time Credit Analyst at Noetica, you'll play a critical role in our product function by reviewing AI model outputs and extracting valuable data from corporate credit documents. Our platform uses sophisticated machine learning to process complex legal language, and your expertise will help ensure accuracy and drive product improvements. You'll work alongside a talented team of Machine Learning PhDs, engineers, and legal subject matter experts, contributing directly to how we deliver insights to the world's top law firms and financial institutions.
No prior corporate debt documentation experience is required—we provide comprehensive 1:1 training that will prepare you for success in transactional legal work.
As a Part-Time Credit Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- AI Model Review: Validate and assess the accuracy of our machine learning model outputs to ensure precision and quality
- Data Extraction: Analyze and extract document-level data from complex corporate credit agreements
- Product Feedback: Provide insights on model performance to help refine and improve our AI systems
- Credit Documentation Analysis: Learn to identify and understand critical terms, provisions, and negotiation dynamics in credit documentation
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform through expert human review and analysis
- Currently enrolled as a 2L or 3L law student
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Excellent reading comprehension and ability to parse complex legal language
- Self-starting approach with intellectual curiosity and bias toward action
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively alongside law school commitments
- You have an interest in transactional work, capital markets, or corporate law
- You're planning to pursue a career in finance, corporate law, or related fields
