What You’d Be Doing
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the publishing division, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with overall business strategy.
  • Conduct ongoing financial analysis to track performance, identify trends, and provide data‑driven insights to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Oversee book sales, royalties, and revenue streams, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, variances, and recommendations.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, forecasting, or a related analytical role.
  • 2–5 years of experience in the book publishing industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), financial systems, and industry‑specific software.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Location and Work Schedule

New York, NY. Hybrid schedule – in‑office presence required three days per week.
