Role: Senior Accountant
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000/annually + Bonus
Location: Great Neck, NY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Assistant Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the financial ecosystem, from daily ledger activities to complex international tax compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep experience in Oracle and a background in manufacturing or distribution. You will not only maintain the integrity of financial records but also act as a strategic partner by identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving process efficiencies.

• Manage daily general ledger activities to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting.
• Lead month-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, expense accruals, and comprehensive account analysis.
• Perform rigorous reconciliations of bank accounts and multiple GL accounts, ensuring all documentation meets audit standards.

• Analyze revenue and cost expenditures, comparing budgeted figures against actual expenses.
• Forecast and reconcile costs related to labor, inventory, and operational processes.
• Identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to management for cost reduction and profit improvement.

• Manage indirect tax compliance across the US, Canada, and various European jurisdictions.
• Prepare and file tax returns while ensuring the organization remains compliant with all regional financial regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and tax obligations to safeguard company interests.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  CPA certification highly preferred.
• Experience: 7+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 3 years specifically within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

• Audit Knowledge: Prior experience in public accounting or internal auditing is a significant plus.
