Investment Desk Operations; CLO – Global Hedge Fund – TC

A major, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund, are looking to make a newly created, specialist hire to support its expanding US CLO business.

The hire will work directly for the US CLO Portfolio Manager (sat on the investment desk). The new hire will take full ownership for all trade capture, loan closing, treasury/liquidity management, risk oversight, portfolio / performance analysis, CLO compliance etc. As the desk SME, the hire will be the go-to-person for a range of external suppliers / counter parties that you face off to + internal senior management with regards to operational issues relating to the desk.

During downtime, the hire will take on project work, typically focused on process improvement (either running projects yourself, or working with the in-house tech team as project manager) or wide ranging projects for the investment team.

Candidates should have 5-15yrs experience in CLO operations / middle office – we are open to candidates from banks, trustees, administrators or other funds. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and a personality that suits working in a pressurized front office environment.

This is a crucial hire for the firm – it is budgeted to pay up to a $350k year-one TC, however our client is not looking to dismiss anybody relevant based on comp at application stage.
