Grant Accountant

We are looking for a Grant Accountant to join our mission-driven team. Our organization is a leader in the nonprofit sector, recognized for its impactful work in social services and community development, with a strong track record of securing and managing multi-million-dollar grants over the past few years.

• Oversee financial management for 90+ grants and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and submit grant invoices, financial reports, and journal entries.
• Maintain adherence to government and foundation funding requirements (e.g., NYC / NY State agencies).
• Respond to inquiries from funders and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Support funder desk audits and assist with special financial reporting projects.
• Manage budget tracking, expense reconciliation, and allocation processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
• 2–3+ years of grant accounting experience, preferably with NYC / NY State funders (DFTA, DYCD, OTDA).
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements).
• Familiarity with PASSPort, HHS Accelerator, or Grants Gateway (a plus).
• Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance (preferred).

Full-time, hybrid role (2–3 days in office, remote Fridays with early close at 3 PM).

Competitive salary range: $65K–$75K (up to $80K for exceptional candidates).

Temp-to-perm option available ($28–$35 / hr during contract phase).
