About the Role

Tax – State and Local Tax Income Tax EDGE – Financial Services Organization – Senior Services Manager

Our Financial Services EY EDGE practice is made up of a team of professionals providing dedicated tax technical services to both US and global clients. EDGE stands for Exceptional Delivery and Growth Engine because this team operates in a technical environment with deep process and service delivery experience that distinguishes EY in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
• Identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients.
• Learning and researching current market trends, to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor.
• Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients' tax activities.
• Researching our clients' business operations and building long-lasting relationships to tailor your advice to their specific needs.
• Supervising a motivated team of professionals, guaranteeing they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential.

Skills and Attributes for Success To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• CPA, licensed Attorney or EA.
• A minimum of 8 years professional knowledge in a broad range of state and local Income/Franchise tax processes, concepts and tools.
• Experience managing budgets, people and projects.
• A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
• Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
• The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
• Strong influencing skills, and the confidence to question existing processes.

Ideally, you will also have

• A proven record in a professional services environment or in-house experience in a wealth and asset management company.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, One Source Tax Compliance Software, Corptax, and/or Premium Pro.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Ability to adapt your work style to collaborate with both internal and client team members.

In addition to the base salary range of $132,700 to $303,200 in all geographic locations in the US (with higher ranges for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California), our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• We have a hybrid model; most external client-serving roles work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of a project or year.
