Opportunistic Credit - Analyst/Associate

Position: Associate - Private Credit Investment Team

Location: Rye, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time

Base Pay Range: $ – $ per year

Overview: Our client is a private credit investment fund with approximately $1.5 billion in assets under management, headquartered in Rye, NY. The fund focuses on credit opportunities across a broad range of strategies, including non-sponsored and sponsored direct lending, structured credit, asset-based lending, and select real‑estate‑backed transactions. The team operates with a lean structure and targets 15 %+ IRR across its investments.

The fund is seeking an associate‑level investment professional with 1–4 years of experience to join its team. Ideal candidates may come from a corporate credit background with exposure to mezzanine, preferred equity, or opportunistic credit strategies, or from investment banking, with strong LBO modeling skills and experience working on complex capital structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed financial modeling and credit analysis, including LBO and structured scenarios.
  • Support underwriting and due diligence processes across a variety of deal types.
  • Assist in the execution of transactions, including documentation and closing.
  • Participate in portfolio monitoring and ongoing asset management.
  • Collaborate closely with senior investment professionals in a flat, fast‑paced environment.
Candidate Profile
  • 1–4 years of experience in corporate credit, private credit, investment banking, or related fields.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, particularly in LBO and structured credit.
  • Exposure to mezzanine, preferred equity, or opportunistic credit strategies.
  • Experience with middle‑market transactions and complex capital structures.
  • Ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial, and collaborative team setting.
